These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the vKnova platform (website at vknova.in, mobile apps, and related services) operated by vKnova ("we", "us", "our"). Your use of the service means you accept these terms.
01 Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing the platform, or otherwise using any part of vKnova, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using vKnova on behalf of an organisation (school, coaching centre, or employer), you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the service.
02 Eligibility
vKnova is open to users of all ages for academic purposes. However:
- Users under 13 years of age must have an account created by a parent, guardian, or authorised institution administrator.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
- You may not create an account if a previous account of yours was suspended or terminated for cause.
03 Accounts & Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Notifying us immediately at hello@vknova.in if you suspect unauthorised access.
We reserve the right to disable accounts that violate these Terms or that appear to have been compromised.
04 Subscriptions & Billing
Free Plan
The Free plan allows access to one class and up to two topics per subject. No payment is required.
Pro Plan (Parent Pro)
Pro subscriptions unlock unlimited topics and classes, PDF progress reports, streak tracking, and the parent weekly digest. Pricing is level-based (Class 6–10) and billed monthly. The exact price is displayed at checkout and on the Plans page.
Enterprise (School / Coaching)
Organisation licences (school and coaching-centre plans) are billed annually per enrolled student seat. Pricing, seat counts, and billing dates are confirmed in a separate order or agreement.
Payment
All payments are processed in Indian Rupees (INR) via Razorpay. By providing payment information you authorise us to charge the applicable fee. GST (18%) is included in displayed prices unless stated otherwise. A GST invoice is issued automatically upon successful payment.
Renewals
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. We will send a reminder email before renewal.
05 Refund Policy
Monthly Pro subscriptions — you may request a full refund within 7 days of your first payment if you are not satisfied. No refunds are issued for renewals after the 7-day window.
Annual / Enterprise licences — refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 14 days of payment.
Content packs — no refunds once content has been accessed.
To request a refund, email hello@vknova.in with your order details. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.
06 Acceptable Use
You agree to use vKnova only for lawful educational purposes. You must not:

- Share your account credentials with others or allow simultaneous logins
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute course content, questions, or answers
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the platform
- Upload malicious code, spam, or content that violates any law
- Impersonate another user, teacher, or administrator
- Use the platform to harass, bully, or harm others
- Circumvent subscription gates or feature restrictions by technical means
✅ Expected Conduct
- Complete assessments honestly and without external assistance (unless permitted by your teacher)
- Report bugs or vulnerabilities responsibly to our team
- Respect the intellectual property rights displayed on the platform
- Follow your institution's academic integrity policy where applicable
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension without refund.
07 Content & Intellectual Property
Our Content
All course content, topics, questions, explanations, concept cards, visuals, and the vKnova platform itself are owned by or licensed to vKnova. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access this content solely for your own personal educational use during an active subscription. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content.
NCERT Alignment
vKnova topics are aligned with NCERT curriculum frameworks. NCERT is an autonomous body of the Government of India; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by NCERT.
User-Generated Content
If the platform allows you to submit content (e.g. assignment answers, feedback), you retain ownership but grant us a royalty-free licence to use, store, and display that content as necessary to operate the service.
08 Organisations (Schools & Coaching Centres)
If you register or use vKnova as part of an Organisation:
- The Organisation administrator is responsible for managing user accounts, class enrolment, and ensuring users under their organisation comply with these Terms.
- The Organisation is responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from parents/guardians before creating student accounts for minors.
- Seat counts must not exceed the purchased licence limit. Exceeding seat limits may result in service interruption.
- Trial organisations are subject to the trial duration specified at activation. Continued use after trial expiry requires an active paid plan.
- vKnova may restrict or terminate Organisation access for non-payment, misuse, or breach of these Terms.
09 Disclaimers
vKnova is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Guarantees of uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation
- Guarantees that specific learning outcomes or exam scores will be achieved
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.
10 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, vKnova and its founders, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or academic progress due to technical failure
- Exam results or outcomes regardless of platform usage
- Losses arising from unauthorised access to your account
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000 (whichever is greater).
11 Termination
By you: You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@vknova.in. On deletion, your academic data will be removed subject to our retention policy.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you violate these Terms. We may also discontinue or modify the service with reasonable notice.
Sections on Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law survive termination.
12 Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the vKnova service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi, India.
Before initiating formal proceedings, we encourage you to reach out to us at hello@vknova.in — we aim to resolve issues amicably within 30 days.
13 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service, business, or applicable law. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
